Lund University is the largest institution of research and higher education in Scandinavia. It has eight faculties including engineering, science, law, social sciences, economics, medicine, humanities & theology performing arts, and several research centers and specialized schools. It is a research-intensive university with over 3500 active researchers. The University has significant experience in EU Research and has participated in over 1000 projects over the years. Lund University researchers were involved in 315 FP7 projects, in all areas of research, and coordinated 20 of them. The Department of Sociology of Law is an independent institution within the Faculty of Social Sciences. Today 25 persons are employed at the department. The department runs bachelor studies in the sociology of law, runs a criminology program jointly with the department of sociology, and runs a master program in the sociology of law. Every year, around 175 students finalize their exams in sociology of law. The welfare state and its regulation have traditionally been a key focus of research of the department. Special attention has been given to welfare state institutions within the health and social welfare analyzed through the lenses of rights, discrimination, gender, and social norms. Lately, the welfare state approach has been complemented by special attention to social and legal norms, the plurality of legal cultures, and civil society.
Marmara University, Turkey

Marmara University Political Science and International Relations Department (PSIR), which is one of the major political science and international relations departments in Turkey, offers undergraduate and graduate education at B.A., M.A., and PhD levels. The Aleksanteri Institute Finnish Center for Russian and Eastern European Studies is an independent institute of the University of Helsinki. It functions as a national centre of research, study and expertise pertaining to Russia and Eastern Europe, particularly in the social sciences and humanities. The Institute actively promotes cooperation and interaction between the academic world, public administration, business life and civil society, both in Finland and abroad.
The Aleksanteri Institute coordinates multi-disciplinary study programs at various academic levels. The doctoral program and the Master’s School in Russian and Eastern European studies are open to students from Finnish universities. There is also a study program for East Central Europe, Balkan and Baltic studies that offer the possibility of an MA diploma and a minor subject program in Ukrainian studies.

İstanbul Medipol University

Istanbul Medipol University (IMU) is a private university established by Turkish Education Health and Research Foundation in 2009. IMU has 71 undergraduate programs in 13 faculties along with 51 Master’s programs and 25 PhD programs with over 37.000 students.
